Vintage Antique E. Ross & Co. Machine Rug Hooking Tool Vintage Original
Very rare primitive tool – Similar to the Susan Burr rug-making tool, this one was patented by Ebenezer Ross in 1881 for embroidery purposes. It is in excellent condition for being about 150 years old. Several I have seen have had an additional “handle-looking part on it, but this one does not, and there is nowhere for one to have been there.
It is labeled on the side of the metal E Ross and Co.

Dec.27,81 and then a series of numbers.
The tip does have some rust but this is still neat!
