Description
This Antique SM&N Paper Mache Scottie Scottish Terrier Barrel Coin Bank is in good condition.
This is a wonderful vintage scotty dog bank. It is made from paper mache by S M & N Company. The front has Scott Bank, it was a giveaway for the bank.
Here’s a little history of Scott Bank. The Exchange Bank continued to grow, and in 1904, it was incorporated and titled as it remains, Scott State Bank. Capitalized at $30,000, the stock was owned by A.R. Scott and his wife, Mary Jane Scott, and their sons Hugh, Troy, and Samuel J., with the youngest son, Smith, coming into the bank in 1907.
The bank is in good vintage condition with some wear and some chips in the paper mache as shown in the photographs. The bank is 6 inches tall and 2 ¾ inches wide. This is a wonderful vintage still bank ready for your home or office. Enjoy!
Please see the photos as they show the condition and detail well
