Vintage American Lock with chain

Description

This is an American Lock company padlock.  It is 1 5/8″ wide by 2 1/2 tall.  It does come with the key and opens.  It does have a chain attached.  The writing on the actual padlock is hard to read by the key is easily readable.   I included pictures of both sides.

This is a heavy duty lock.   I have been told it is a military lock and is solid brass by a military man.
